Iran movie ‘Italy Italy’ poised for int’l festivals

Iranian movie ‘Italy Italy’ is poised to attend international festivals, the director says.

Iranian movie ‘Italy Italy’ is poised to attend international festivals for the next Persian calendar year, the movie’s director says.

Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh told the media on Sunday that his film is ready to join international film events across the world before considering it for screening in Iran.

The movie, produced by Mehdi Sabbaghzadeh and written by Kaveh Sabbaghzadeh, stars Hamed Komeili, Sara Bahrami, Farid Sajjad-Hosseini, Homayoun Ershadi, Ali Mollaqolipour and Faezeh Alavi.

Made in a musical, fantasy and comedy genre, the plot of ‘Italy Italy’ reads, “I love you and it is none of your business.”

The feature film was shown for the first time at the main competition section of the Fajr Film Festival in 2016.

Fajr Festivals are held annually in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn), which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.
